Skirts, I like em.

I seem to recall the major shift away from skirts and dresses for women's business wear, toward pant suits, gained momentum sometime in the mid seventies.

My wife started wearing pant suits around that time, and I was pretty cool to the idea. Not because I thought, women shouldn't cross over into men's dressing style, but more for the sake of appearance.

Paint suits were ill fitting on most women, and unless she could afford tailor made suits, a woman would more often than not, look better in a gunny sack. My wife's first pant suits were not all that expensive, made from polyester, and sagged in the wrong places. The last fifteen years of her career she wore pant suits, and on occasion, skirts. When she retired at fifty five, the skirts went into the closet, and I haven't seen one on her for twenty years. Pants are the normal wardrobe for the day. I think a skirt once in a while, wouldn't be all that bad.

My main objection to paint suits, and indeed women wearing paints, is personal, and selfish. I like looking at women. I suppose it's probably not a good pastime at my age, but a lifetime's habit is hard to break. Furthermore, to me, a woman in pants, completely loses her feminine allure. Whether they're loose fitting or so tight, they have that painted on look, paints reveal too much of a women's form. I can't assign a percentage to the number of women who are alluring, or sexy in pants, but for me, there few and far between.

Here's the thing. Women in skirts retain an air of mystery. What is the overall shape of her legs, how do they come together in the crotch area, is her pelvic area wide, narrow, are there butts shapely, flat, too big, or little? In snug fitting pants, too much is revealed, no surprises there, no wonderment. At least, a skirt leaves something to the imagination. In tight pants, there's not much to tweak the curiosity. Except perhaps, how do they squirm into them in the first place? A skirt also gives me the chance to look at their knees. Kinky you say? Well maybe, but homely knees, detract from other wise nice legs. If a woman has less than good-looking knees, she can still wear skirts, but she has to be more conscious of the length. The hem can just cover the knees and still be attractive. However, a skirt that's too short may draw too much attention to the knees. And, if they are of the homely variety, the over-all effect of bare legs, is spoiled.

The biggie, for me tho, is the potential thrill of a peek at what's under the damned skirt. I know; I know; some might think that's perverted and beneath me as a gentleman. But, it's so tantalizing, and my sixteen-year-old libido still lurks in the back of my mind, and is as uncontrollable now as when I was twenty, thirty, fifty. Women's bodies, I almost, but not quite, am ashamed to admit, still fascinate me. On the internet, I can find thousands of images. Naked, partially clothed and everything in between. Nevertheless, there's no substitute for the real thing. A live, breathing, moving, in the flesh woman, is altogether different than static, flat images, posted to the internet. So, when I spy a woman in a dress or skirt coming over the horizon, I fall into teenage boy mode and hope for wind.

One of the more anticipated moments in life is to watch a woman in short skirts negotiate sitting down without exposing too much. I say too much because I think, women that wear short skirts and dresses, have a level of exposure in mind there comfortable with. A bit of thigh is fine and good legs are to be seen not hidden, and a flash of ass is not out of the question in a safe setting. Women tend to be naughty at times and love the effect they have on men, and women. That's why I don't feel guilty for looking, and hoping, for an accident on purpose from time to time.
